The December 2021 flooding disaster is a harsh reminder that Malaysia is vulnerable to climatic hazards. It is anticipated that climate change will lead to an increased risk from such hazards.

​

In his special report in Between the Lines (BTL), Bite-Size Climate Action team member Dr. Matthew Ashfold from the University of Nottingham Malaysia outlines various options to address the contributing factors to the flood disaster, ranging from urban planning to communication infrastructure and societal collaboration.
